The Sustainability Consortium

What is the target of the Sustainability Consortium

and

What shall we do for the sustainability?

< SCOPE >Finished

The Sustainability Consortium is a collection of over 100 industry, academic, government, and non-government stakeholders developing science and tools to improve decision making about product sustainability. The consortium is developing a Sustainability Measurement and Reporting System that will consist of product category rules, life cycle inventory databases, and information technology tools. Research is being done in areas such as electronics, home and personal care, and food, beverage, and agricultural products, and focuses on understanding the life cycle impacts of consumer products.

This seminar will provide an overview of The Sustainability Consortium mission, goals and activity. Our goal is to learn how The Sustainability Consortium can cooperate and collaborate with Japanese industry, academia, and government. Speaking will be Academic Director Dr. Kevin Dooley and Research Director Dr. Greg Thoma. Dr Dooley is a Distinguished Professor of Supply Chain Management at Arizona State University, and Dr. Thoma is Professor in Chemical Engineering at University of Arkansas.
