JST-SNTT WORKSHOP

未踏科学技術協会では、開発途上国の科学技術開発について、日頃から関心を寄せておりますが、このたびイタリアのトリエステ市に本部を置くAcademy of Sciences for the Developing Countries(TWAS)の事務局長Mohamed Hag Ali Hassan博士を招待する機会を得ましたので、JSTのご協力を得て、同博士を囲むワークショップを開催することに致しました。 　以下のプログラムでワークショップを進める予定ですが、各講演者には、講演時間のうち最後の10分～15分を残して頂き、質疑応答と議論に使う予定です。 　会の性質上、言語は英語になりますが、広く皆様のご参加を頂き、開発途上国の持続可能な資源開発に関して議論をする機会にしたいと考えております。

The Society of Non-Traditional Technology (SNTT) has been interested in promotion of science and engineering in developing nations, particularly in terms of sustainable development of natural resources. Fortunately we found an opportunity to invite Prof. Mohamed Hag Ali Hassan, Executive Director of Academy of Sciences for the Developing Countries (TWAS) to our society. So, we decided to have a workshop in support of JST to learn about TWAS and to discuss over the mutual interests for establishing the sustainable world.
Each speaker is expected to finish the presentation 10-15 minutes earlier than the designated time so as to allow questions and discussion. The workshop will be held in English throughout.
